WHAT IS THE JOB ROLE?
Sales Assistant
We are looking for a confident and enthusiastic individual to work on our market stalls,
This is a casual role and will start off with around 3 markets per month in different locations based in and around the area of Manchester primarily on Saturdays and Sundays. Trading times vary from 5 - 7 hours and you will be paid a set day rate of £100 per market shift plus performance based commission. As November and December are our busy periods, the number of markets will increase significantly during this time - there will be an opportunity to work up to 8 markets per month.
You will be fully trained by working with me on a market day (fully paid) before being given your first market shift on your own.
You must have the ability to drive to market locations (up to 1 hour of driving).
WHAT ARE THE RESPONSIBILITIES?
Setting up the market stall to our standard
Serving customers in an enthusiastic way, making sure to treat everybody with respect and kindness
Be friendly, engaging and welcoming at all times
Processing cash and card payments
Promoting offers to customers (eg 3 for 2)
Directing customers to follow us on instagram
Keeping track of stock throughout the day and replenishing anything that has sold out
Making sure the stall looks tidy and presentable at all times
Packing away the stall contents in an organised way
Picking up and dropping off stock at our Ancoats studio

WHEN IS THE APPLICATION DEADLINE & WHEN WILL INTERVIEWS BE HELD?
The application deadline is Sunday 30th June.. I will be conducting initial phone calls on Monday 1st July and if you are successful you will be invited to our Ancoats studio for an in-person interview between 2nd-4th july.
WHEN DOES THE ROLE START?
Your training shift will be at Chester Makers Market on Saturday 6th July and your first official market shift will be at Albert Dock Makers Market on Sunday 7th July:
